Wounds are a huge health issue as they can result in patients’ social isolation, absenteeism and morbidity, among others, and therefore have a considerable impact on their quality of life.

In recent years, the development of scientific research has made possible a constant updating of knowledge in the area of wound treatment.

The differences in the approaches to the wound patient have been demanding a constant reflection by healthcare professionals and the developments that have taken place in recent years in both medical devices and in the knowledge of the etiology and pathophysiology of wounds have been consistent. The resources currently on the market, both for wound treatment and prevention, require healthcare professionals to be constantly updated.

Thus, this 5th International Congress on Wounds aims to provide a unique platform for exchange of knowledge and good practices between those who share a similar interest in this area.

Nota: As inscrições para o Pré-Congresso (dia 01 de fevereiro) e para o Congresso (dias 02 e 03 de fevereiro) são independentes. Neste sentido, aquando da realização da inscrição, deverá selecionar os itens em que pretende inscrever-se.
