"Menopause… A New Stage" is the topic of a seminar scheduled for 17th October 2008, in the auditorium of the Nursing School of Coimbra - Campus A.
The programme of this initiative, which has been organised by teachers of the ESEnfC and by nurses of the Gynaecology Unit of the Hospitals of the University of Coimbra, includes two sessions: "Woman in Menopause: Different Perspectives" and "Contributions of Nursing to the woman's health in menopause".
The goals of this seminar are to extend people's knowledge on menopause (regarding physiology and hormone replacement therapy), to understand the psychological and behavioural changes of menopause and to reflect upon the role of the nurse in the promotion of the health of the woman in menopause.
