Almost
a third of all the students placed at the Nursing School of Coimbra during the
1st phase of the national competition for access to higher education (90 out of
321) was enrolled in the first day.
Besides
the team of the academic area and the collaborators of other services of the
ESEnfC, also the Praxe Commission and
the Veterans Council are welcoming the students, who will receive orientations
regarding the enrolment location and the physical spaces of the institution.
To
start with and to overcome the natural shyness of those arriving for the first
time to a higher education institution, the students were invited by their
colleagues to fill in a type of Identity Card (with their name, age and place
of birth).
They
should carry this “document” with them for a while, just for identification and
integration. This happens because the «praxe
is not a humiliation; it is diversion, integration and interaction», as
mentioned by 3rd-year student Vanessa Martinho, who belong to the Praxe Commission.
On
25th September, there will be a dinner (in the canteen of Campus A)
after a walk around the town.
Many
of the new students come from different regions of the country, such as
The
25th of September is also the official opening of classes for these
students who will meet with their course coordinators and receive a student
guide and a “freshmen kit”.
The
ESEnfC is once again “operating”.
Welcome!
