Welcome to the biggest and best Portuguese Nursing School

About 300 new students of the Nursing School of Coimbra begin their academic year September 25th.

They were welcomed and integrated into the institution by teachers and colleagues of the Students Association and the Praxe Commission.

The President, Professora Maria da Conceição Bento, highlighted the better conditions for nursing teaching provided by the ESEnfC (when compared to other higher education institutions), starting with the scientific and pedagogical competence of the teachers.

«This School has a highly qualified teaching staff. Take advantage of that!», stated the President of the ESEnfC (the new higher body of governance and external representation of the ESEnfC, in accordance with the new Statutes).

«Each time you miss a class you are wasting the money of every citizen», besides loosing «an opportunity of personal development».

The President of the Directing Board also mentioned the "good structure of non-teaching staff members» of the ESEnfC - each student has a reference official who will accompany him/her throughout their course -, and asked for the involvement of the new students, also at an extracurricular level: «The schools are as good as the students' participation at the different levels of their construction».

«Welcome to the biggest and best Portuguese Nursing School». These were the initial words of the President of the Scientific Board, Professor Rogério Valença Vieira.

The teacher spoke about the study plans and provided information on the scientific areas, curricular units and ECTS credits.

Before his intervention, Professora Teresa Tanqueiro (Pedagogical Council) made a detailed presentation of the school, after which student guides were distributed (with all the useful information they will need).
