On November 17-19, teachers Dulce Galvão and Rosa Pedroso participated in the “Course of Humanized Attention to the Low Weight Newborn – the Kangaroo Method.”
«This course represented an excellent source of knowledge improvement and acquisition and development of competences related to taking care of low weight newborns and their families, promotion of maternal breastfeeding and development of techniques, namely the technique of Finger Feeding», states Professor Dulce Galvão.
The teachers of the Nursing School of Coimbra were welcomed by the Directing Nurse of the University Hospital of the University of Santa Catarina and visited the hospital.
Professors Dulce Galvão and Rosa Pedroso, both in the paediatric field, visited the Unit of Special Neonatal Care and the local Nursing School.
