The international evaluation team of the European University Association (EUA) arrives, tomorrow afternoon to Coimbra, for the second visit to the ESEnfC.
Next Wednesday, the international evaluators will begin by meeting with the President of the Directing Board of the Nursing School of Coimbra, Professora Maria da Conceição Bento.
They will also meet with "key-persons" of the commission of self-evaluation, the Administrative Board, the Commission of Planning of the Strategic Plan 2009-2013 and the Scientific Commission of the Research Unit.
On Thursday, the international evaluation team will meet with the National and International Relations Office of the ESEnfC, with the coordinators of the scientific-pedagogical units of Nursing Fundamentals and Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing and with the Scientific and Pedagogical Boards.
Finally, on 31st, the report project of the EUA - with suggestions for an improvement of the quality at the ESEnfC - will be presented (on Campus B) to the whole educative community and to the external partners of the School.
Last July, the EUA team was at the ESEnfC to evaluate some aspects, such as direction, financial resources, the capacity of internationalisation and the rules of access to the institution.
The ESEnfC was one of the ten institutions selected by the Directorate-General of Higher Education for co-funding of the voluntary programme of evaluation by the EUA in 2008.
As a non-integrated higher education institution, it is the first Nursing School to be evaluated by the EUA in Portugal and in Europe.
The international evaluation team is composed of Professors Winfried B. Müller (Austria), Dionyssis Kladis (Greece) e Mette Karoliussen (Norway), as well as by the student Sanja Brus (Slovenia).
