Notas Soltas do Mondego (“Loose Notes on the Mondego river”): the first CD of the Tuna of the Degree Course in Nursing.
On 3rd July (date of the closing ceremony of the Licentiate Degree Courses of the Nursing School of Coimbra), the Nursing Tuna of Coimbra (TEC) released their first CD with original songs.
As the President of the Artistic Board of the Tuna, André Patrício, explains: “It was a “hard work but it feels good to see it compiled, the result of the effort expended over many years”.
Around 40 students, who are part of the TEC, composed the new anthem of the Tuna (Notas Soltas do Mondego, also the title of the CD), with a “very happy rhythm” and lyrics which convey feelings about the city, Nursing and a set of aspects which influence them as participants in a tuna and students of the ESEnfC.
The CD of the TEC presents, among others, the theme Coimbra, a Bela (“Coimbra, the Beauty”), the Enfertuna (“NursingTuna”) and the Balada da Despedida (“Farewell Ballad”) and intends to show everyone why is that this musical group won the 1st Festival of Mixed Tunas in Coimbra. This Festival took place in March on the Praça da República within the scope of the Week of the Sciences Applied to Health organised by the Student Association of the Health Technology School of Coimbra (ESTeSC). In this festival, the TEC won the awards of “Best Tuna” and “Best Tambourine”.
