Critical analysis of selected concepts covering the contents of point 1.
Analysis of the fundamentals of embryonic development and their relationship with the nurse's actions from the perspective of describing in utero development (points 2 & 3 of the content).
Particular features of the development of paediatric anatomical structures and physiological processes of selected organic systems (nervous, respiratory, urogenital and kidney, cardiovascular, digestive, skeletal, immune and endocrine) shall be studied with regard to embryological origin, foetal and postnatal development, anatomical division, anatomical and physiological paediatric-specific functions and features relevant to the well-grounded clinical practice of nursing.

Theoretical classes shall be delivered in the form of lectures with free participation by students (given the reduced number of students) and theoretical-practical classes shall take the form of: a viewing with subsequent commentary on the film 'Journey inside the human body'; problem-solving worksheets; and clarification of questions posed by students.
The evaluation will be held by written exam with short-answer and multiple-choice questions during a total of 60 minutes. The questions shall cover the content taught and shall appeal particularly to the cognitive capacities (knowledge and understanding) and some to analysis and assessment.

Starting from an anatomophysiological knowledge of the various body systems, the student's capacity for reasoning is developed in terms of understanding and analysing some specific anatomophysiological characteristics that underlie the paediatric nurses' clinical practice in the area of child and youth health. This reasoning is applied to cognitive skills in terms of understanding and analysis that are enriched in the course of 20 hours of theory and 4 theoretical-practical sessions which reinforce this learning.
