Accomodation/Student's Hall of Residence
The student hall of residence of the Nursing School of Coimbra (ESEnfC) is located at Rua Dr. José Alberto dos Reis. The telephone number is +351 239 487 200.
Requests for accommodation must be formalised by means of a special form, which is available at the Academic Services.
One of the School's concerns is to promote both the quality and diversity of the food which is offered to students. The School has two canteens, and in all meals the student can choose between a meat or a fish dish. Students pay with pre-paid tickets, which can be purchased at the Academic Services. (Canteen working hours: 12pm - 2pm and 7pm - 10pm)
The School has 2 cafeterias, which offer a wide range of snacks and light meals.
The Social Services award scholarships to low income students. For this purpose, it is necessary for students to submit an application through the website of the Directorate-General of Higher Education on www.dges.mctes.pt/dges/estudantes/bolsas. The scholarship application dates are defined, on an annual basis, by the Director-General of Higher Education. A notice is posted on the School's webpage informing of the dates.
We recommend that you consult the Scholarship regulation prior to the application due date.
The scholarship regulation for public higher education students was approved by Order no. 8442-A/2012 (2nd series), June 22nd.
A list of scholarship application results will be displayed on the School's webpage.
Students who need it, may ask for an advanced payment of the scholarship before the date of the receipt. This will be made using a requirement addressed to the President of the ESEnfC.
Students may also turn to other institutions which grant scholarships, such as local councils and a few foundations: Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian (www.gulbenkian.pt), and Fundação Ilídio Pinho (www.fundacaoip.pt/port/bolsas.htm). For further information, please contact the Pedagogical Board.
