The Nursing School of Coimbra (ESEnfC) collaborates, during the next weekend, 10th and 11th May, in a set of pedagogical and leisure activities promoted by the Fórum Coimbra (a shopping centre managed by Multi Mall Management), with the goal of sensitizing the school age population, as well as their families, to oral health good practices.
During the weekend there will be individual info sessions about oral health.
"What are tooth for?", "Which food can cause oral diseases?", "Which is the most adequate dentifrice?" or "How and when we should brush our tooth?", are some of the questions to which the hygienist José Relvas will give an answer.
Parallelly to each pedagogical session on oral hygiene, the Fórum Coimbra will provide several pedagogical activities, coordinated by students of the ESEnfC, as the game "Traffic Light Food" or painting activities, labyrinths, crossword puzzles, watching of the DVD Dr. Dentolas (by Colgate), and the table "Dental Model", in which it will be possible to see and learn to properly brush the tooth.
During the weekend, the Fórum Coimbra offers, still, workshops of healthy cooking, under the coordination of Chef Edgar Gil. This will take place Saturday afternoon (4 to 6.30 p.m.) and all Sunday (10 to 12.30 a.m. and 4 to 6.30 p.m.), in sessions of limited participation subject to previous booking at the place.
