1st Forum on Entrepreneurship of the Nursing School of Coimbra

The Nursing School of Coimbra is organising the 1st Forum on Entrepreneurship to take place on 17th June 2008.

The initiative is organised within the scope of the activities which the Nursing School of Coimbra is developing, so as to stimulate and call attention of the school community to the change of the organisational culture and to the development of entrepreneurial skills. The aim is to facilitate the students' entry into the labour market and to encourage them to create their own job.

The opening session of the event is foreseen for 9:30, in the auditorium of Campus B and entry will be free.

The Nursing School of Coimbra has also participated, for the first time in 2008, in the Poliempreende Competition, which aims at encouraging higher polytechnic education students to idealise business ideas and to put them into practice.

The Poliempreende project, besides being a contest, is characterised by a great curricular enrichment for the participating students, providing at the same time response to the new challenges of the Bologna process and to the orientations of the Strategy of Lisbon, having as fundamental goal to foment the promotion of entrepreneurship at higher education institutions.

The Poliempreende project helps to stimulate applied research oriented towards the market, directed at the creation of innovative enterprises in the prospect of growing.
