ACTIVITIES

The UCP-ESCA faculty are responsible for:

  • Teaching students to understand, identify, diagnose, make decisions and act in the face of nursing phenomena present in the child and their families at different training levels and settings
  • Supervising students in the process of building and developing care competencies adjusted to the context of each child and their family in different training levels and settings
  • Investigating and disseminating knowledge about phenomena and nursing interventions relevant for care delivery to children and their families
  • Investigating and disseminating knowledge about teaching and learning processes and techniques that promote the development of critical-reflective thinking, innovation, and personal and professional empowerment in care delivery to the child and family
  • Providing services to the community
  • Cooperating with other SPUs in undergraduate, graduate, and continuous training of nurses and other professionals, in research, and community service provision

STRATEGIES

To fulfill the UCP-ESCA objectives, the following action strategies were carried out:

  • Shared resource and scientific-pedagogical management
  • Design, planning, and curricular development of study plans, curricular units, and modules of curricular units
  • Design, planning, and implementation of training activities
  • Applied research with qualitative/quantitative approaches, according to the study object and objectives
