ESEnfC integrates the Association of Portuguese Language Universities

The Nursing School of Coimbra is integrated in the Association of Portuguese Language Universities (AULP), an international association of higher education institutions with the highest number of members, involving eight countries with Portuguese as their official language – Portugal, Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Sao Tome and Principe and East Timor – and also Macau.

At a meeting in Cape Verde, on 13th June 2007, the General Assembly of the AULP decided that the ESEnfC could integrate this Association.

The AULP is intended to be an instrument for the promotion of the cooperation between universities and higher education and research institutions of the countries and regions of Portuguese language.

Among other duties, the AULP has the responsibility to promote scientific and technological research projects and mobility projects for teachers, researchers, students and administrative staff, aiming at the participation in pedagogical, scientific, cultural and administrative activities carried out within each member country of the Association.

The AULP also encourages the elaboration of bilateral and multilateral agreements among the members of the Association regarding their areas of interest and especially within the scope of the equivalences of academic qualifications and scientific and academic degrees granted by the member institutions.
