Although
only one of them will compete with the main project of each of the Polytechnic
Institutes of the country, the regional jury will nominate the three best
business plans created by fourth-year students of the Licentiate Degree Course
in Nursing of the ESEnfC. These students will be awarded a pecuniary value: EUR
1500, EUR 1000 and EUR 5000, respectively.
Created
five years ago by the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco, the Competition
Poliempreende integrates in this edition all of the Portuguese Polytechnic
Institutes and, for the first time, the ESEnfC.
In
this phase, there are 31 students of the ESEnfC involved in the Poliempreeende.
They elaborated innovative business projects in the health area, with a
vocation for social entrepreneurship, which would fulfil the needs of the
market, promoting a better network of health care or, even fulfilling market
opportunities yet to be explored.
The
regional jury will gather tomorrow (May 21), at 4 p.m. in Campus B of the
ESEnfC. The members of the jury are: representatives of the company FormaSau
(Formação e Saúde Lda), the civil Government of Coimbra, the Bank Espírito
Santo and the ESEnfC (the president of the Directing Board, Professora Maria da
Conceição Bento).
There
is currently being created at the ESEnfC a department for the promotion of
Entrepreneurship.
According
to the calendar of the 2008 edition of the Poliempreende, the evaluation of the
projects by the national jury is scheduled to May 28, the publication of the
results to June 11, and the presentation of the national awards to June 19.
