It is called "AMP - Wound Care" and it is the business project conceived by students of the Nursing School of Coimbra (ESEnfC) which the regional jury chose for the grand finale of the 5th Poliempreende Contest.
On 28th May, André Patrício, Marco Ferreira and Pedro Nunes (the authors of this project) are going to represent the ESEnfC in the grand finale of this contest of entrepreneurial vocation ideas in Castelo Branco, where the main business plans of each of the Polytechnic Institutes of Portugal will be at dispute.
On last Wednesday (21st May), the regional jury chose the three best business plans outlined by 4th-year students of the Licentiate Degree Course in Nursing, who were assigned pecuniary awards: €1500, €1000 and €500, respectively.
Second place came the project "WorthyTakingCare", by the students Ana Cunha, Deisy Grangeia, Helda Silva and Liliane Calisto.
"Teach to Win" (by the students Óscar Lopes, Pedro Martins, Marco Fernandes, Hilário Soares and Carlos Elias) came third place.
Approximately 50 students of the ESEnfC were involved in this edition of the Poliempreende, the majority of whom ellaborated innovative business projects in the Health area, with a vocation for social entrepreneurship, which would fulfil the needs of the market, promoting a better network of health care.
The regional jury included representatives of the Banco Espírito Santo, of the enterprise FormaSau (Formação e Saúde Lda.) - which sponsored the awards - and of the ESEnfC itself, namely the President of the Directing Board, Professor Maria da Conceição Bento.
