DITEPRACT - DIGITAL AND HYBRID TEACHING AND LEARNING OF PRACTICAL SKILLS IN HIGHER EDUCATION

Project Summary

DITEPRACT - DIGITAL AND HYBRID TEACHING AND LEARNING OF PRACTICAL SKILLS IN HIGHER EDUCATION is one of the latest international projects in which the Nursing School of Coimbra (ESEnfC) participates, under the coordination of the Arcada University of Applied Sciences, in Finland.

Within the scope of the COVID-19 priorities program and following the constraints created by “emergency remote teaching” the Project was designed with its eyes set on education after the pandemic crisis. It is based on the idea that higher education institutions need to reconsider their educational models to incorporate digital education in basic and postgraduate programs.

Focusing on practice-oriented distance teaching and learning, the Project aims to explore the potential of digital approaches using existing physical and simulation-based resources while including advanced technologies. The goal is to increase teachers’ pedagogical know-how and skills for enhancing students’ learning outcomes related to training in digital environments. It will explore and map current practices and develop new concepts and models through digital support, as well as design and implement guidelines. This Project also aims to create a strong support network for online teaching in higher education institutions in the health area.

Six institutions from six countries participate in the Project.
