The experience and the counselling of renowned personalities of the Health, Administration and Law field are key elements in the revision process of the Statutes of the Nursing School of Coimbra (ESEnfC).

The Statutory Assembly of the ESEnfC includes as external renowned personalities Doutor António Arnaut (a lawyer, known as the "father" of the Portuguese Health Service), Professor Fernando de Jesus Regateiro (President of the Management Board of the Hospitals of the University of Coimbra), Engenheiro João Vasco da Fonseca Jorge Ribeiro (responsible for the management of the National Strategic Reference Framework - QREN - in the Central area of Portugal), Doutora Maria Leonor Couceiro Pizarro Beleza (former Minister of Health and current President of the Champalimaud Foundation) and Mariana Dulce Diniz de Sousa, RN (first President of the Portuguese Nursing Council).

These five identities have joined the other 15 members - 12 teachers and three students - who are currently elaborating the new orienting document of the functioning of the ESEnfC.
